The cartography style for this map is a blend of old and new, and has been created using the same fonts and terminology as the original 1801 OS map combined with the modern day data for the area.
The cartographer, Chris Wesson, has created the map to mirror the detailing of the original map, including the lettering, marginalia, title and scale bar. The map also includes the original points of interest information, as well as the modern features such as museums, universities and even the Emirates Airline Cable Car over the Thames .
