Pocket Atlas of Remote Islands: Fifty Islands I Have Not Visited and Never Will
Born on the wrong side of the Berlin Wall, as a child Judith Schalansky could travel only through the pages of an atlas. Now she has created her own, taking us across the oceans of the world to fifty remote islands. Perfect maps jostle with cryptic tales from the islands, full of rare animals and lost explorers, marooned slaves and lonely scientists, mutinous sailors and forgotten castaways.
About the author
Judith Schalansky is a writer and award-winning graphic designer, and lectures on typography in Potsdam. She has written a novel and a typographic compendium, Fraktur mon Amour (2006) which has won several design prizes. She lives in Berlin.
Delivery times
Order before 4pm weekdays for:
- Free standard delivery on orders over £10 in up to five working days
- 1st Class delivery in 1-2 working days
- Priority Express Next Day delivery on the next working day
Custom Made map orders will take one extra day for printing. Framed and canvas products are handmade and usually take 10-12 working days to dispatch. If you order on a bank holiday we'll start on your order on the next working day.
