The Short Walks series guidebooks are especial for those that prefer shorter walks, or for families with Children. The Book for the Peak district contains 20 short circular walks all graded by length and ranging from 2 to 6 miles. It's a great way to get some of the best accessible viewpoints. Routes include Dovestone Reservoir, Thor's Cave, and Kinder Scour. Each walk includes a detailed route description, a large-scale OS map, GPS way points and notes on key features and history to look out for on the way. This is all packed in a small, pocket friendly guidebook, complete with waterproof cover and rounded corners for durability.There are even things to spot to keep children (or adults) occupied, and you can tick off each route as you complete it.
