OS Account FAQ

Go to My Account for the OS Shop account. You can also access your account from OS Maps and access settings specific to the app.

Go to Account Details and click the change password button, and follow the instructions on screen.

If you have forgotten your password use the password reset function - you will need access to your registered email address.

If you no longer have access to your email, you will need to Contact us, verify your identity and we can reset your password manually.

You can add and delete addresses in your account. You can also add a new address during the checkout process.

On most product pages you will see a wishlist button. You must be logged in to use the wishlists. Clicking this button allows you to add the current item to a wishlist. There is a default wishlist called 'My List' or you can add a new one using whatever name you like.

In My Account (accessed from the icon at the top of the page when logged in) you can view your wishlists or create a new wishlist. In a wishlist, click on an item to go to the product page to view or purchase . If you want to share wishlist, ensure 'Share Wish list' is ticked in the wishlist options when you create it or edit it, then select 'Share'. You will be given a URL address that can be copied and sent by email, chat or social media. Anyone with the link will be able to view that wishlist, but cannot see any other account details.

Wishlists can be used to store maps and guidebooks for planned future adventures, keep ideas for gifts, share kit lists, or just keep track of items you want to buy later.

At the bottom of every marketing email will be a link to 'Manage what email I get'. Click that to get a page with personalised options. Under the heading 'Send me information by email and post from Ordnance Survey and its group of companies' you can choose what sorts of email you would like; Marketing emails are listed as 'Details on products, special offers and promotions'. Click 'Save my preference' to update.

On the email, you will also find an unsubscribe link, which will prevent us sending any non-transaction emails to you. Fully unsubscribing will also prevent us sending non-marketing emails, like information on changes and upgrades, new app releases, function updates and more, so if you still want to get these use the Manage option and just untick all email types.

Even if you unsubscribe, we will still send transaction confirmations, as we are required to send these.

You can go to My Orders to see your past orders and the current status. Orders showing as 'Awaiting Fulfilment' have not been sent yet.

Any orders you created using 'Guest' checkout will not show in here, as they are not attached to your account.

You can get a copy of an order from your order history, but you cannot get a copy invoice at this time. If you need one, please contact customer services with the order number(s).

This is only visible in the OS Maps app. Log in, and in the main menu navigate to 'My offline maps' and then to 'Paper maps' to see the list.
